Northslip is a 26,000sf mixed-use development overlooking Port Washington’s marina and downtown district. Locally well known and loved Inventors Brewpub found a new home in the first floor’s eastern wing with a restaurant, bar, and brewery while the western wing will be an event space capable of holding up to 350 people.
CONCEPT
Northslip is a unique site with four fronts; Washington Street, downtown, the lake, and the slip; each with different requirements. The same can be said of the building’s three main program elements. As such, the design strategy lead to expressing each of the uses in the project’s massing and materiality across the facades. In this way, special spaces unique to each use result in, on and around the building and each use expresses its identity to passersby.
