Mandeville House
Brentwood, CA
3600 sf addition + renovation
The Mandeville House reimagines an existing midcentury residence around landscape, light, and the rituals of California living. The 3,600-square-foot addition and renovation shifts the kitchen and dining spaces to the lower level, creating a more direct relationship between the house, garden, and pool. A new trellis extends the architecture into the landscape, forming a shaded outdoor room for gathering and entertaining. Heath tile and a warm, restrained material palette draw on the language of California modernism while giving the house a more relaxed and contemporary character.
