Located at the North edge of Cedarburg, this 192 unit development will draw on the scale, pattern and materiality of historic downtown neighborhoods.
CONCEPT
Approximately thirty-percent of this pastoral, seventeen acre site consists of criss-crossing, delineated wetlands. The design strategy was to create ‘places’ of the wetlands around which the buildings were organized, ‘paths’ that allow residents to experience the natural beauty of the site and architecture, and natural ‘textures’ of indigenous materials and flora along the way. In this way, this development will capture the spirit of nearby historic Cedarburg.
